Creating blends has been a passion of mine, almost from the start of my polymer clay journey.

I have always loved the look of a traditional triangle skinner blend, but disliked

the limitations that it involved, and so I started experimenting with curved - rather than straight - lines in my blends and the possibilities seemed to increase exponentially.

Over the years of making canes and other clay creations that required repeat blends, I have kept the templates and finally decided that the time has come to share them with other lovers of colour and gradients.

This is 54 of my favorite colour gradients and includes both cool and warm colours, meaning you are sure to find the perfect blend template for your next project.

  • Templates are 9 x 11 cm.

  • Always fold and insert into pasta machine in the same direction (as indicated by the arrow on the template) failure to do so will yield results different from those shown.

  • There is no set amount of times to fold the blend and run through the pasta machine, but on average, these blends have been passed through the pasta machine 20 times, sometimes more. Basically, you keep blending until you feel it has been completed.

  • All clay used in these templates is Sculpey Premo!.. In the case of discontinued colours, recipes for a facsimile has been provided.

  • Each template page has a table containing the name of the Premo! colours needed as well as the approximate amount of each colour to be used, measured in grams and oz, however this amount can vary, depending on the thickness of the sheet of clay. These measurements are based on the weight of the clay using my pasta machine on its thickets setting.

  • Every effort has been made to weigh the clay accurately, but please allow for a certain amount of error.

  • Substituting colours for alternative shades will yield different results to those shown.

  • In the picture for the completed blend, there are 6 chips at the top of the blend. On the left two jelly-rolls, one from light to dark, the other from dark to light and a fan-fold. These are repeated on the right, the only difference being that the ones on the right are baked.
